There doesn't seem to be actual proof that she was over the limit when she was driving which seems to be reinforced by the leaniency she was shown by the magistrate
It is a shame that she pleaded guilty. If she had pleaded not guilty she would have gone to court and the victim and witnesses would have had their chance give evidence and reveal what really happened.
I cannot understand why she is so unwilling to accept she may have a problem with drink - her life would only get easier, though dent her pride at first. It's a deadly illness and not one to be messed with. People go to early graves in denial.

A 22 month driving ban is not lenient, and you don't get that length of a ban for a minor crash is affected by hay fever, she was drunk, pure and simple, it is blind luck that she did not kill or maim someone, I hope she can address her alcohol issues befire it's too late.
