  • SK and Len Bowles both came in today wearing knitted garments.

Marsh -- miserable old TOGLessons learned from today's show
  • John Marsh (aka Marshypops) was wearing a ratting suit today. He must have been influenced by Len Bowles.
  • Sarah opened a parcel live on air this morning -- it contained watercress aphrodisiac and watercress tonic. SK loves watercress.
  • No 'It's Showtime' this week as Sarah is plugging R2's 'Sold On Song' (where you can chose your best ever song).

    Sarah Kennedy -- tongue-lickingly good
Godfrey and Mick SturbsToday we learned about the four Ps
  • Sarah is sure that Posh Spice is anorexic.
  • Silly old Fran Godfrey didn't tell SK that there was going to be a pigeon story in the news at 7am. This led to Sarah rushing to find her bird song CD and playing the first thing that began with 'P' -- puffins.
  • Ms K had three peacocks in her drawing room the other day.
  • Bunty will be getting her pelvis looked at today.
  • 19 May 2004

The Ukraine -- good at singingLessons learned from today's show
  • The village in which Sarah lives turned 'shorts and topless crazy' over the weekend.
  • As promised, SK gave Lynn Bowles the gifts she promised her from the Kentucky Derby -- a shots glass (made in Japan) and a necklace (£6).
  • Ms K awoke at 3.40am to go to the toilet, but alarmingly couldn't move from the bed and thought she was paralysed below the waist. However, it turned out her three cats were laying on top of her.
  • Sarah's brother lives in the Grand Canyon.
  • Wily old Dearly Beloved (aka Adrian) had a bet on the Ukraine winning the Euro Trash Song Contest -- and they won!

  • Sarah has been in Wogan's studio all week, because he's in Istanbul eating kebabs and judging the Euro Trash Song Contest.
  • SK is not looking that forward to returning to the country home this weekend. She's been away now for almost a month and apparently the cats (ie, Hector) have badly matted fur.
  • The builders are also in the vicinity, making a new patio for the Kennedys. Sarah managed to hire a building firm where they are all called 'Colin'.

    Lessons learned from today's show
  • Sarah felt faint yesterday. It could have been because she didn't eat any food all day long.
  • At the Kentuck Derby, a marquee collapsed.
  • It was very cold in the R2 studio again this morning.

    HorseHooray! Sarah's back on air
Ms Kennedy has returned from her holiday in Kentucky. Here are the lessons learned from today's show...
  • SK saw a lot of horses on holiday. The most expensive cost half a million pounds!
  • The Kennedy couple had to take a detour on the airplane via Fort Lauderdale (instead of Miami).
  • Sarah has kindly bought Lynn Bowles a jewel (but LB was not on air today).
  • Due to jetlag, Sarah awoke at one o'clock this morning.

    Ken Bruce and Lynn BowlesBoredom
Thank you to everyone who has sent in their Sarah Kennedy-related poems. Unfortunately, some of them were not suitable for publication, however, Ellen Bakchelor's was...

Boredom is something I feel everyday,
Boredom is something that just gets in the way.
As I tune in my wireless all dazed and confused,
I bleat with despair at the bloody awful Ken Bruce.

I tire of him so much,
    For what he has done.
    These feelings I feel,
    Can never be undone.

His show is such a mess.
Each day I hope, and wish he’d die.
To free me of this pain,
I sit each mid-morning in my boudoir and cry.

    I love Sarah so much,
    For what she has done.
    These feelings I feel,
    Can never be undone.

Do you think Lynn Bowles should be replaced by Sally Boazman?
Well, it would seem that almost 90 per cent think Sally should take over from Lynn. What do you think?

    A triumphant jockeyKentucky Derby: result
Smarty Jones became only the fifth unbeaten horse to win the Kentucky Derby, charging past runner-up Lion Heart in the home stretch yesterday to capture the American thoroughbred racing classic and collect a five million-dollar bonus.

It is not yet know if Sarah Kennedy managed to bet on the winning horse.
