RADIO 2's Sarah Kennedy dropped herself in it yesterday, joking about Mr Prescott as "Two Shags".
The presenter, left, thanked a listener to her early morning show for suggesting the Deputy PM change his "Two Jags" nickname to "Two Shags". Stifling a giggle, she chortled: "...stop it!" and quickly signed off.
One shocked caller rang Wogan to ask guest host Johnnie Walker: "Did I really hear Sarah say that?"
Another listener who heard Johnnie confirm it said: "What a thoughtless remark. It's a funny joke but there's a time and place for that sort of language and it isn't when kids are having breakfast."
Radio 2 said: "It was a light-hearted play on words and it was certainly not Sarah's intention to cause offence."

I have to say I find it appalling that in various papers the word "shag" in the context of John Prescott is freely use, but when some stallwort DJ like Sarah Kennedy speaks the word as an innocent quip, all hell breaks loose.
She should't apologise for making the remark(s) and shouldn't have to
